I had been recommended Toby at Tiny Triumph Recordings by so many people I admire that, in all honesty, I feared that I might feel out of my league during the process. I shouldn't have worried, because Toby's kindness, calm energy, and the incredible vibe at the studio helped quickly melt away any self-doubt, allowing creativity to flow.....
Toby is an incredible collaborator. When it comes to helping me bring my songs alive, he not just a fantastic technician, but a supportive dream builder. He has the ability to really sit with the emotion and story of my songs and to really walk along side me. He begins from wherever I am on the day, whether that is finalising a song, going back to the start, or building a completely new song from scratch. A rare gift.
Toby is thoughtful, patient, and highly skilled at his craft. Our band had the pleasure of working with him to record a single, and I hope we will be back to record a larger body of work at Tiny Triumph. The studio is tidy and well designed, and Toby has everything set up to get the best possible sound out of all of the instruments. Highly recommend :)
